MR Srinivasan, a veteran nuclear scientist and former atomic energy commission chairman, has died. He was 95. Srinivasan played a key role in India’s nuclear energy development. He helped develop 18 nuclear power units. He worked with Homi Bhabha on India’s first nuclear research reactor, Apsara. Mallikarjun Kharge expressed condolences, calling his death a significant loss for India’s scientific community.
