India is set to conduct a large-scale civil defence exercise, “Operation Abhyaas,” across multiple states, prompted by heightened Indo-Pak tensions following a terrorist attack. Border states like J&K, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat will lead the drills, featuring blackouts, sirens, and evacuation simulations. Other regions, including Bengal, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, will also participate to enhance emergency preparedness and civilian safety.
