A 24-year-old prisoner named Sajid committed suicide in Etah’s district jail, according to jail superintendent Amit Chaudhary’s statement on Tuesday as reported by Deepak Lavania. Sajid, who was from Etah’s Hindu Nagar, was found guilty under IPC section 376 (rape) and the Pocso Act. His family gathered at the main entrance of the prison and requested a thorough investigation into the issue.
