India’s first frozen zoo in Darjeeling’s Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is preserving the DNA of endangered Himalayan species using cryogenic technology. This initiative aims to ensure the long-term preservation of genetic material to aid future conservation efforts, including the possibility of assisted reproduction.
