The government plans to establish daycare cancer centres in 759 districts, focusing on chemotherapy and essential medication. These centres will also screen high-risk individuals for common cancers, with the aim of making cancer care accessible and affordable across India. The initiative involves launching 200 such centers in the current financial year.
