The Morigaon district commissioner has ordered Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to avoid hosting a street-corner meeting and a ‘padayatra’ as part of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra since miscreants may attempt to disrupt peace and tranquillity in the district. “This is strange as there is a law and order situation in the area, but Gaurav Gogoi and all can go but only Rahul Gandhi cannot go”, he said.
