Tragedy struck in Bulandshahr when a 30-year-old disabled woman, Sunita Devi, was allegedly beaten to death by her neighbors over a dispute about water chestnuts. Devi’s husband, Omkar Singh, claims his wife was attacked while returning home from collecting the fruit. He alleges police ignored his pleas for help when he brought his injured wife to the station.
